I think yes and no.
She didn't talk much/at all, so I had to keep trying to make conversation.

But sometimes when people don't talk I don't talk either.

I think it depends on where I am and who else is around.
If I'm by myself I'm more shy, but with someone I know I'm less shy/not shy at all.

What you need to do now is:
a) find out her address
b) find out which one is her room, and which window is most accessible
c) collect hair
d) collect toenails
e) collect clothing
f) then you're ready for your date!
